I thought you might be interested in seeing some of the things we're doing to try an speed up our production line to reduce lead time and keep up with the higher rate of orders this month. I've been working for a long time on a two-spindle machine that can switch between two bits automatically, letting me use the 1/8" bit to do the small details while still being able to move quickly through the large pockets and profiles with a 1/4" bit. This cuts the machining time on parts by about 2/3 (from 3 hours/handibot to 1 hour/handibot). Until now our single spindle tool has been able to keep up with demand but with Lee and Earl feeling the pinch of our shorter lead time, we finally got this second tool put together.
