jagged finishing toolpath

Hi all,

Sorry, newbie here. I usually import a STL into Partworks 3D, and then V-Carve for tiling.

I'm finding my finishing toolpath produces jagged edges. Is it because I'm not using a bullnose bit where the stepover percentage is much lower?

It's just strange because my roughing toolpath produces such clean lines but the finishing toolpath messes everything up.

Thank you.

I do not think it has anything to do with the ball nose bit. It appears to me you have set your stepover too large. Can you upload your actual toolpath file? Or, if too large, upload a small portion of your file.

These are the kinds of issues that seem perplexing yet typically have simple solutions.

Good luck. confused smiley
