We've tried a number of options for alternative brains for the handibot--beagle bone, raspberry pi...and a few others that I can remember. Edison was the best candidate when we launched a year ago but we've been periodically evaluating the alternatives as they release new versions. I think that the Edison has been OK...the internal antenna could be a bit better--so I think it won't be a terrible thing to change suppliers for that part of the board.
