Bit changes made a bit easier

Bit changes made a bit easier

Hey all, I haven't been around for a while due to a wide variety of life things. One is that my grip strength has been iffy for quite some time, and I'd been pondering the issue for a while, and finally designed something to help with it.

When needing to press the button and hold the Dewalt router to change bits, my hand often wasn't up to it. So this little thing lets me set the router on it and press down to press the button, so I just need to hold it down and use the wrench. I made it so it could come apart and tuck into my toolbox.

I also cut the laser guide out of plywood the night before, I got lucky and both needed the bit that was already in the machine.

Let's try that again. Not sure why they didn't work the first time.

Nice jig and solution to a problem. I still have the hand strength to not need this but if I didn't I'd sure be coping it!

Performing bit changes in the kitchen would not work out for me. Do you have plans for a jig that would work elsewhere? Like the doghouse?

Wazza,

I always keep my Handibot in the room adjacent to my kitchen! Start a cut--watch it run while I chop onions and garlic!

If I did that I would get dust all over my Harley.

You keep a motorcycle in your kitchen?
