Hi Gil,
Yes, there is. It is one we have been experimenting with for awhile and that will be described in the initial "Developer" materials we are working on. It is a system that allows the simulation of an app on a device communicating with a Handibot, with the understanding that the Handibot is being run by a small PC which is the intermediary.
During our initial work on the Kickstarter project, we tested this concept using small, tablet PC's strapped to the back of Handibots. A number of the early images and video show communication with the Handibot from various net-enabled, wireless devices using this approach. You also notice the tablets. These trials were one of the experiences that convinced us to focus on minimizing the need for a PC in the system.
The system that we used, called ShopBotAnywhere will be useful in exploring app ideas. We'll describe how to access and use it to test app concepts and you'll be able to dig right in.
We look forward to having the first app developer information out shortly.
