today's build

So the wife was wanting a stand to bring a vase up of the floor a good bit and I had put just the thing into pintrest. Well I get busy trying to draw this thing in Vcarve Pro and am having the hardiest time. The photo I had was the typical ortho and I wandered if there was something that would depict this flat. A little clicking later I had found a photo of it dissembled and flat.

I took the photo and imported it into Vcarve Pro and "extracted" vectors from it. They where too sloppy to use directly and I needed taller anyway but by putting these on one layer and mine on another layer gave me a huge leg up to doing what I needed to do.

Now that I have the concept in a file I can make a stool or table like this in most any size pretty quickly, just need to tweak the size and height..
