Looks like Intel is dumping the Edison line - Edison Product Change Notification. Pi3 Compute Module version next?by Mike - Handibot Forum
Got it in hand - will probably be a weekend project but I'll try to document the process and see how it all goes.by Mike - Handibot Forum
Ok, got a lot further today - Thanks Mark! - The method you described worked a lot better. The plug pieces I made had at least 3 straight sides (more on that in a minute) and cleaned up pretty well. - Noticed that the cutter was chirping / skipping quite a bit as it was moving around and the bit finally came out. Swear I tightened it down but I guess not enough. Once I fixed that problemby Mike - Handibot Forum
Thanks Mark - I haven't tried it quite like this yet, but rather individually setting the toolpath parameters for each rectangle. To make the replacement piece would I do the inlay operation instead of pocket?by Mike - Handibot Forum
Awesome Mark - thank you! I saw this a while back but of course had the "I'll do it later" thought...by Mike - Handibot Forum
David @ Shopbot Tools Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Hi Richard, > > See attached doc for adding a Z zero plate. > > David Way old post, but forum fun strikes again, is this file available anywhere else? I can download it but it's not readable for me.by Mike - Handibot Forum
Ok, I'm about 95% sure this is due to my lack of understanding on the software side, but I'm having some issues cutting shapes to the size I need. Some background: - Trying to "patch" a pinball cabinet that previously had two button holes (literally holes for arcade style buttons) drilled in an area where I need a single button hole between them. - Wood filler may have woby Mike - Handibot Forum
There's this youtube video Tiling in Fusion 360 that shows a method of tiling by setting up each toolpath with its own stock (of 6"x8"). I'm still learning Fusion's API but I think this could be scripted out.by Mike - Handibot Forum
Finally starting to use my kickstarter Handibot. Note to anyone else in a similar situation... it's kind of hard to cut through a piece of material thicker than the cutting length of the bit. Only took 4 tries to figure out that was the issue.by Mike - Handibot Forum
Small ping... looking to do a few projects where I'd prefer to run the code from Fabmo instead of a Windows tablet / do a little app development.by Mike - Handibot Forum
Thanks Mark - I saw some of this but wasn't sure the full state of the project. I know there was some discussion of an antenna but didn't see that the card wouldn't fit per se. I haven't really used the tool enough to justify purchasing an upgraded one yet but also don't want to get tied into an old workflow if it's going to change soon.by Mike - Handibot App Developers Forum
Finally looking to work with my Handibot (Kickstarter) more and wanted to see if the new control cards are available for purchase? I actually have several Edison's already and would prefer to not fiddle with Windows anymore for this.by Mike - Handibot App Developers Forum
I'm curious about this too - after far too long, I'd like to start using my kickstarter handibot but don't want to buy too many accessories / etc if the design is going to change significantly. Any details on what would still be compatible (large indexing jig / etc) would be greatly helpful.by Mike - Handibot Forum
Does it handle the VCarve software well? I've been looking at some of the new Baytrail tablets (ie, Asus T100, Dell Venue Pro) and also debating between an 8 and 10" tablet.by Mike - Handibot Forum
So what is everyone using to control their Handibot?by Mike - Handibot Forum
I'm really looking forward to getting my Handibot. The App suggestion area looks interesting, but I'm really interested in developing code for using the Handibot rather than just suggesting ideas. Any ETA for when that info is available?by Mike - Handibot Forum
