Thanks Brian, I thought this might be the case. "Crippled" was too strong a word and not intended as derogatory, I should have said "intentionally limited". Looks like I need to steep myself in Fusion 360. RMWby Richard - Handibot Forum
I have V-Carve Pro 7.5 HB edition from my purchase of a KS HandiBot. I also have another grbl based cnc machine, would like to use V-Carve with it as well. I located a suitable post processor (for Shapeoko) and added it to the PostP folder but it does not appear as an option when I restart V-Carve. My question is whether the HB edition of VCP has been crippled to prevent the use of additionalby Richard - Handibot Forum

Have the upgrade paths from the V1 (Kickstarter) to V2 been published yet? RMWby Richard - Handibot Forum
The V2 definitely fixes my main issue with the HB, namely access to the router and material. Really like the new design, and FabMo looks like a great upgrade also. Any ETA on when it will actually be shipping? RMWby Richard - Handibot Forum
Here are several PDF's I thought especially useful: Soft Plastics Hard Plastics Aluminum Softwood Hardwood Hope to get some time to experiment with AL this weekend, will report back when I do. RMWby Richard - Handibot Forum
Finally had time to consult the oracle (i.e. Google, no offense Mark ) and found a feed/speed chart for Onsrud O-Flutes. RMWby Richard - Handibot Forum
Has anyone tested an O-Flute bit in 6061 aluminum? I am ready to give it a try but hate the thought of breaking my shiny new $40 bit on the first cut. Any advise would be appreciated. RMWby Richard - Handibot Forum
Yep, that's basically the same thing, but mine uses the manual locking feature... I saw that video, really cool the way you created the scripts. And about 12 levels over my head, I am still getting used to the location of the power switch! RMWby Richard - Handibot Forum
Eric, Not that video, I have the large material jigs and upgraded the HB to the new base. So far I have not used the jigs, most of what I cut are small parts but that will change someday. My constraint is shop size, I have a 10' by 12' shop and no garage or other spaces to store materials or machines. Everything has to fit in there so I guard space jealousy & clutter/disorganizatby Richard - Handibot Forum
I am pretty sure I have seen someone else do this elsewhere on the forum, but I cannot locate the thread so here is my version with credits to (I believe) Mark, Eric and David. Apologies if I missed anyone. I still can't figure out how to link directly to a G+ post so you can either follow this link to my posts or go to the HB Hangout. My goal was to have a jig I can feed 12" by ?by Richard - Handibot Forum
Wanted to report back that I finished my Z-Zero plate, very simple with David's directions and low cost. Only modification I made was to wire up everything using banana jacks/plus so I could remove it when not in use. This is an awesome mod for the HB. G+ post w/ photos is here. Thanks again to David for providing the directions. RMWby Richard - Handibot Forum

LOVE this! Great idea, it reminds me of Instructables specific to the HB. Suggestion, if I may be so bold, for a topic: How about a tutorial on adding a Z-Zero plate, including how to wire it into the control system? Keep up the great work. RMWby Richard - Handibot Forum
Pro give you LayOut, as far as I can tell that is the major difference. I do some furniture and architectural design stuff so the ability to create drawings is of value to me. Eric or others may know of more differences. RMWby Richard - Handibot Forum
Mark I have not used my HB much since 7.5 came out but I was also excited about the Sketchup connection. I have used SU sinced about version 5-6 and can whack out a simple model in no time. I am not very skilled in the nicer aspects of it but LOVE the flexibility of working in points/lines/surfaces. You are correct, it is a huge paradigm shift it you are familiar with more structured CAD softwareby Richard - Handibot Forum
I think there is a problem with the shopping cart shipping calculator. Initially I had only the jig in the cart and shipping to NJ was $57 IIRC. Then I added a $20-ish router bit, looked at the cart and the shipping disappeared by there was $1.24 in tax, about 6% of the bit's cost. I think there was a message about the shipping not being calculated yet, but I did not see a shipping amount afby Richard - Handibot Forum
Ordered - thanks. Looking forward to using it. RMWby Richard - Handibot Forum
Robert - David and others gave some feedback on cutting AL in a previous thread, you can find it here. RMWby Richard - Handibot Forum
Apologies for being a nudge but is there any ETA for the jig kit? Seems like quite a while that it has been "coming soon". Thanks, RMWby Richard - Handibot Forum
Ditto - how soon will they be available? I have some projects waiting for this. Thanks Bill. What is the difference between the Kickstarter HB and the current one? RMWby Richard - Handibot Forum
Any update on the availability of the large material jig? I keep trolling the HB site but nothing popped up yet. Thanks, RMWby Richard - Handibot Forum
Mark: I agree on the magnifier for most uses, but in the case of switching from preview to move/cut it still does not work for me. The little tick boxes still don't register the input for some reason. Overall I find the touch interface on the Venue to be finicky, not sure if this is specific to the Dell or common to all Windows tablets. Bill: those commands work great. Eric, I have been following your posts for a while, thanks for sharing all the ideas. Took the plunge and replicated most of your setup with the Dell Venue and tablet mount. I just got SB3 installed last night and made the spindle move, ready to start having some fun this weekend. I have to admit that using Windows on a small tablet takes some getting used to. I am hoping to take the next leap and mill some aluminum parts soon. Thickness between .250 and.50, 6061, and I will want to use an 1/8" or 3/16" bit so I can bore holes to be tapped M6 and smaller. I would really like to avoid breaking too many $15+ bits in any one day... So my questions are what settings would anyone recommend in the beginning?
