Cut3d doesn't seem to come with a postprocesser for the Shopbot that turns on the router spindle. I hacked some up from the posts that came with VCarve Pro for the Shopbot that SEEM to work, but I haven't tried a 3-D part yet. I am still trying to get an official postprocesser for the Cut3D (or PartMaster3D) that supports the Handibot. Wierd -- I seem to remember saying all this onby tonyv - Handibot Forum
Thanks for clarifying -- I meant to say Partworks3D. Tonyvby tonyv - Handibot Forum
Cut3D and VCarve-Pro are completely different programs for completely different purposes - I own both. Cut3D lets you create up to 4 sides of a 3D part. It is more suitable for engineers than VCarve-Pro, which seems aimed at sign-makers. I prefer to use a real CAD system to design my parts, rather than use the crude editing features built into the Vectric products. Tonyvby tonyv - Handibot Forum
Hi, I was an original kickstarter purchaser of the Handibot. It just came with VCarve Pro for the Shopbot. Corrrect me if I am wrong, but i seems that new Handibot purchasers are also getting something called Partworks3D, which is essentially the same as Cut3D? Does that mean that there is now an official postprocessor for Cut3D that supports the Handibot? I would really like to getby tonyv - Handibot Forum

Hi David, The retail version of CUT-3D only has the following posts for Shopbot: ShopBot_alpha_Arc_inch_router_control.pp ShopBot_alpha_mm_router_control.pp ShopBot_Arc_Inch.pp ShopBot_mm.pp I think I tried all of these and they don't start the Handibot spindle. I tried copying ShopBot_TC_inch.pp and ShopBot_TC_MM.pp from the Shopbot edition of V-Carve Pro, but when starting CUby tonyv - Handibot Forum
Yes, I've tried VCarve, Cut3D, and the Shopbot program -- all work fine, at least for simple toolpaths. The tablet only has an Intel Atom processor, though, so I will probably want to generate G-CODE for complex toolpaths on something more powerful, then copy the file over. I've tried using 3D printer software on a different Atom2-based netbook, and it took forever to turn STL files iby tonyv - Handibot Forum

I want a post-processer for CUT-3D, which I already own. The shopbot post-processers included in CUT-3D don't work (the spindle never turns on). I was able to get it working by cut and pasting the beginning and end portion sections from a V-carve for shopbot G-CODE fie but this is a pain. Thanks, tonyvby tonyv - Handibot Forum
