Is there a version for a Pi 3 B+?by Eric Schimelpfenig - Handibot Forum
Hey all, I have an extra FabMo card that's got very old software on it, version 1.11 I believe. I plugged it into my Handibot and I can get it to work in AP mode, but I cannot get it to join my wifi network so I can update it. I can't get any PC or Mac to connect to it in AP mode either (something I've always had issues with using my other FabMo card) Is there a way can I can maby Eric Schimelpfenig - Handibot Forum
That's exactly what I was looking for. I had done some updates in the past through the updater that broke some of my SB scripts I was using. Having those FMC files will let me test out the new version, and give me the ability to roll back if I need to for some reason. Thanks!by Eric Schimelpfenig - Handibot Forum
In the past I've done some updates to my Handibot which broke some macros that I had written. There was at some point a place that I could download the .FMC files so I could upgrade, and then downgrade my handibot if needed... I can't seem to find them anywhere... I even looked through GitHub to no avail... Does anyone know where I can find them?by Eric Schimelpfenig - Handibot Forum

That's not entirely out of the question, but probably hard to do... I do like it at the height that it is as id does allow for easy indexing. Also, keeping a moving level table would be a bit of a challenge I think...by Eric Schimelpfenig - Handibot Forum
I really like that, but I still don't think it's going to work for my setup... If you take a Handibot Adventure Edition (the newest one) and you drop the router bracket down to it's lowest factory setting, AND you put the router as deep as you can get it, that's how I'm setup. Even with the riser plate up like I have it, I cannot have anything that is larger than tby Eric Schimelpfenig - Handibot Forum
No, this works on suction and a tight seal. Imagine holding up an inflated balloon with nothing but your lips. This works exactly the same way.by Eric Schimelpfenig - Handibot Forum
Hey Brian, here's a challenge for you: If you take a look at that video you can see I'm running without the vacuum foot. This is because I have to have the router dropped down as far as it can possibly go. Not only is the router up to it's collar, I moved the collar to it's lowest mounting point. This caused a problem with the vacuum foot in that it bumps the perimeter oby Eric Schimelpfenig - Handibot Forum
Huh... I guess I'll make a plenum out of Baltic. I've got plenty of that around here! Maybe I should make one for my soon to be swapped plenum on my full size shopbot.... The uses for that stuff are seemingly endless. I will say that the Corian worked awesome. That stuff is just harder to get ahold of if you aren't a countertop fabricator.by Eric Schimelpfenig - Handibot Forum
I did make a Handibot table a few years back, and I did sell a few! Here's a question for you Brian: I made these plates out of Corian solid surface because I had some around. If you haven't seen Corian, it's 1/2" thick inflexible solid surface. It's totally non porus. I had a bunch of scraps around so it seemed perfect for this. I milled that plenum .25" deby Eric Schimelpfenig - Handibot Forum
HA! Let me add that to the very short list of all the other things I've got to do! Honestly though, I think this could work well. It's pretty simple. The only thing I'd really change is swap out my wooden stand off's for something more Handibot ish... like HDPE.by Eric Schimelpfenig - Handibot Forum
It's super easy to peel up that gasket and make another one. The holes are all flush with the surface so that you can just tape off the holes that you don't need. That top plate that has all of the holes in it just lays on top of the plenum and lines up with a couple of dowels. I'm going to make a few other plates for specific operations. Hey all, I just made a custom vacuum plate for my Handibot, check it out! I can share the files if anyone's interested.by Eric Schimelpfenig - Handibot Forum
Brian I've been seeing this exact issue a lot on my Handibot as well.... Can I provide any logs to help?by Eric Schimelpfenig - Handibot Forum
Hey all! I bought the Handibot accessory base and I did a T Track table modification to it. I basically turned it into a tiny Desktop so that I can recycle scrap HDPE I have in my shop. So far it's been quite the workhorse!by Eric Schimelpfenig - Handibot Forum
So glad you like it! For those of you that have one, and those of you that think you might want one this is an open sourced project. Can you post your VCarve file that you used to make your toolpath?by Eric Schimelpfenig - Handibot Forum
I would be hesitant about tiling this one. I did one tiled and it's critical that you get all of the holes in exactly the right spot or they will bind badly... I really designed the table and the fence to be cut on on a big ShopBot. Once you have the table and the fence all of the other sacrifical, the toggles and stops can be made with your Handibot. I can make and send you a kit if yby Eric Schimelpfenig - Handibot Forum
If you go to the bottom of the post you can download the SketchUp model. That is the model that I actually milled this from. If you want the VCarve file you can get it here: I am planning on opening this up to anyone, the only reason I haven't yet is that I haven't documented it well. Thanks! So far this thing has been working out very well. I did a test where I zeroed the tool to the table and I repositioned the HB all over the table and it held 0 easily. Sometimes it's important to be able to zero to the table instead of the top of the material for certain cuts. That's hard to attain on a work bench, but with this it's way easier. I also really like using iby Eric Schimelpfenig - Handibot Forum
For those of you here that might be interested, I created the first version of a Handibot work table. This table is designed to allow for people to easily have a flat surface to use the Handibot on for smaller items. Hey all, check out this mod (see attached) I put some tape measure tape on my base so that I can more easily locate where the Handibot is on material.by Eric Schimelpfenig - Handibot Forum
So I modded my Handibot to accept a Sharpie. Yes you read that right, I figured out a way to make my Handibot draw with a marker. I totally see the irony into turning my CNC router into a printer... I think this is a great way to teach people CNC.. It's quiet, fairly safe and way less expensive if you jam a marker into material. Plus, it's really fun to watch!
