Is there a way to run the router and move it without programming the cut? Use the Handibot as though it was a vertical milling machine?by Bmilanowski - Handibot Forum
This is very clever and elegant! I will be building one in the near future.by Bmilanowski - Handibot Forum
Nice! I made something similar using MDF. There are 3/4 inch holes every 2 inches. The MDF is roughly 2 feet by 2 feet. This sits on top of my workbench. I don't have a fence, but rather just use scrap to level the Handibot to the material. I like your attached fence. I drilled the holes and made the cam clamps by hand. It sounds like you used the Handibot to make them. If that's the caby Bmilanowski - Handibot Forum
I purchased my handibot back in January and was offered VCarve Pro 8 for free. I have installed it, but I have not yet had a chance to put it through its paces.by Bmilanowski - Handibot Forum
I was about to ask the same question, so thanks for posting Deagan492 and thanks to everyone else for the answers!by Bmilanowski - Handibot Forum
After running Shopbot's hello world, my first project was Shopbot's accessory holder. The project takes you through the basics of designing in VCarve Pro, creating tools paths, and running the file with a CNC. So as to get more practice, I made some revisions to the tool holder to store the accessories I received with my Handibot. I removed the three large holes which hold spareby Bmilanowski - Handibot Forum
My reasoning: training wheels. I am learning how to use VCarve, but in the mean time I was going to use Easel to make projects. I understand using VCarve will make me more proficient at VCarve; however, there are some projects that I wanted to complete yesterday. Right now I am attempting the project with VCarve and if that bogs it down, then I am going to my tried and true hand tools.by Bmilanowski - Handibot Forum

I make it a point to not purchase a new tool or material unless it is truly needed. The basis for this rule: I do not want to buy a tool that I will not use frequently enough to justify its cost. Often I can use a tool I already have or build a jig to allow the necessary process to occur. Having a limited set of tools puts constraints on my work and constraint breeds creativity. Thank you for the resources, Ted!by Bmilanowski - Handibot Forum
I just tried it and was unable to make Easel work with Handibot. Once you design something in Easel, you send the design to your machine via Inventable's interface (not unlike using Shopbot 3 to send designs to Handibot/Shopbot). I was unable to export the design to use it with my Handibot and I was unable to use their interface to talk with my Handibot. This was only a cursory attempt,by Bmilanowski - Handibot Forum
Thanks for your blog, Eric! Looks like it will be a valuable resource.by Bmilanowski - Handibot Forum
Are there any resources you recommend for a beginner getting into CNC and CAD? The last time I did any work in CNC or CAD was in college and that was a while ago. I want to get back into it with a Handibot, but admittedly I am not sure where to begin. Are there beginner projects to help teach fundamentals of CAD and CNC? I appreciate any suggestions to send me in the right direction.by Bmilanowski - Handibot Forum
Has any one used Inventables Easel with their handibot? How has that worked out? Any particular inconveniences to workout?by Bmilanowski - Handibot Forum
