Update....it worked!! No more stuttering and I was able to cut the project like I have in the past. Thanks again for all your help! Robinby Vogt886 - Handibot Forum
Thanks for your patience Brian...I finally was able to delete, rebooted and successfully reinstalled the software back... I have made the changes on Windows and i'll give it a try in the shop as soon as I can...hopefully that will make the difference...I'll report back when I've tried it. thanks again, Robinby Vogt886 - Handibot Forum

No, tried as administrator and still stops there and won't allow...by Vogt886 - Handibot Forum
New day, new problems...I downloaded the latest version. When I installed it, there were 3 places it would not install, one was about 1/4 way in and said 'delete file failed' access denied, next was programfiles(x86)\ShopBot\ShopBot3\Bin\UCAL32.DLL, and the last was ....Shopbot3\media\Switch0.wav I 'ignored' these and it finished installing but it won't 'open'by Vogt886 - Handibot Forum
Okay, where do I find the 'latest' version. I think I had to update mine in the past...by Vogt886 - Handibot Forum
I installed the attached version of shopbot. Now, my handibot won't respond to anything in shopbot. It says it's present but not responding, try another port...did that, nothing. Also, I see there's no xy zeroing-do I do that on the pop up one like I do the z in this version? My input 4 was flashing too and it said to reset my stop button. Did that...then I would 'load' tby Vogt886 - Handibot Forum
Thanks Brian, I am hopeful this will fix it!! I double checked and it was Windows 10 I updated to. I just installed it on my computer and opened shopbot and it does look a bit different. Is there anything else I will need to do before a I try to cut a project? Thanks again, Robinby Vogt886 - Handibot Forum
Brian, I'm a mac user so I had to buy this computer when I bought the handibot. However, I know I did upgrade some stuff-not sure if it was windows 10...how can I tell if that's the issue? And, how do I 'fix' it:-) I've enjoyed doing it and have learned so much so I hate to give it up!!Thanksby Vogt886 - Handibot Forum
Brian, yes, I can move along the x and y axis easily with, like I said, just a little stuttering although still moves easily. I haven't done any major big things and can't think of anything that jammed or stopped my machine in the past. Z axis seems fine. Thanks!! Robinby Vogt886 - Handibot Forum
Thank you Mark for your help. Robinby Vogt886 - Handibot Forum
Okay, so I tackled the alignment today:-) Everything seems to be aligned okay, the screws were centered in the holes as they were pictured to be. I loosened all the nuts, checked and retightened them. I cleaned and lubed it. It is still 'stuttering'. When I unplug and just manually move along the x axis, there is still some stuttering as well as on the y axis although not as much. Any oby Vogt886 - Handibot Forum
Thanks Brian and Mark, in looking at this post from another one having issues, should I try to 'slow' my speed before I align (recommended as a possible solution to that person)? It's during the zeroing that it's stuttering. Mainly going to the left on the y axis but once on the x axis. Z seems to be fine...once it 'stutters', when I click the left key, it goes to thby Vogt886 - Handibot Forum
Thanks 'again' Mark. I think I just need to email you personally since you seem to have the answers to my questions both here and in the vectric forum:-) Robinby Vogt886 - Handibot Forum
Thanks Mark, can you be more specific where I can find the info? I looked under support and did a 'search' for aligning but didn't come up with anything. I know very little about 'tools' so I am going to need some very specific instructions:-) Robinby Vogt886 - Handibot Forum
After I zero the x, y using the xy zero one click box, I would like to 'rezero' the x to move up 0.5 inches. Many times I tile so I rezero when I move my machine. If, I do that, and am on the same project, does it rezero back to default or to what I've entered? Do I have to change my settings if I don't finish a project and come back to finishing it a few days later when the pby Vogt886 - Handibot Forum
I have a project I need to get done (of course). When I set up my handibot and did my xy zeroing, my machine stutters and won't move smoothly towards the left on the x axis. I turned it off, etc. and it's still doing it. At one time it would only move right even if I clicked on the left arrow button. Also had one time where it stuttered going to the front on the y axis. Is there any rby Vogt886 - Handibot Forum
Thank you! I'll be glad when you finess the crawler:-) Robinby Vogt886 - Handibot Forum
I've been using the handibot for several months now and enjoy it. I have a basic question I'm sure... If I do an x/y zero then go to zero my z axis, I have the ability to move the x and y at that point as well. Sometimes I would like to move it .25 to be right at the edge. If I (after I have alredy zeroed my x/y), move my y .25 and my z to top of plate, and click both the y and z to zeby Vogt886 - Handibot Forum
Thanks Mark, I have looked at how them but not sure I'm smart enough to put it togetherby Vogt886 - Handibot Forum
Thanks Brian, that worked great! It had gotten set at 0.05-figured I did something since that's what the fixed rate is.by Vogt886 - Handibot Forum
When I am zeroing my z, i have noticed my router moves much slower than it did. It moves at about the speed of when i click 'fixed' but the fixed button is not on and works like it should when i click on it. The x and y movement is fine. Any idea of 'what I've done" :-) and how to fix it? Thanks, Robinby Vogt886 - Handibot Forum
Okay, this worked very well! Thanks, now a different question. Can I do a pocket using this method as well?by Vogt886 - Handibot Forum
Thanks, that was what I intended to do. Thanks for your help!by Vogt886 - Handibot Forum
Thanks Brian, I did finally figure this out...I was in the easy mode and went to full and found what you were referencing. Chipping away at learning-but I am making some progress;-) Thanks again, Robinby Vogt886 - Handibot Forum
Thank you both. I started with the CP command because I had watched the video...went to cc when things weren't working so I will go back to the CP. I'll give this a try. I really thought I would just put the handibot on the wood without 'lining' anything up (x3, y4)... with that in mind, can i put x0y0 circumference of i.e. 2 and line up the centerpoint I have marked and it wiby Vogt886 - Handibot Forum
Ugh, the piece is already cut out and is actually a circle as well. If I use vcarve and put the xy datum to the center, can I mark the center and start cutting there so everything is where I want it? Otherwise, I'm afraid I won't have things lined up correctly and my pockets will be off...by Vogt886 - Handibot Forum
I want to be able to essentially cut some circle pockets. In reading the info, I tried to type CC and enter the diameter, I entered X,Y as 0 and did a =.125 with 2 passes and hit enter. The handibot then attempts to cut a circle, however the spindle does not turn and it basically carves the circle. I tried to type C6 to start the spindle but that didn't work. Can someone explain how I doby Vogt886 - Handibot Forum
Brian, as a follow up, obviously my table top was the issue. I am now using the handibot table made by Eric and amazingly it 'fixed' the issue. Can't wait to continue to learn and make things!! Thanks for your help and all the willing helpers in this forum! Robinby Vogt886 - Handibot Forum
