Are there any indications re how Fabmo will behave in the upcoming Windows 11?by Wazza - Handibot Forum
I have replaced my 10 year old laptop with a new one. I was running Google Chrome as recommended by this site, but now I ask if the new Microsoft Edge is OK to use with Fabmo. Has anyone had any experience with Edge and Fabmo? Cheers,by Wazza - Handibot Forum
Given that "X" is an unknown and spurt is a drip under pressure, I am an expert. Who else would take a 1/8" compression bit and make a hole in his Quickbit puck? Luckily the puck still works so when I can find some aluminium of the right thickness (not as thick as I am) I will repair it. That hole is not the type I like to look at. No, no, no. I know what you're thinking. Geby Wazza - Handibot Forum
I recently updated Fabmo to1.7.2. and now find that I cannot use the Fabmo app on myAndroid phone; it doesn't find my Handibot. Is this the norm? I don't see an upgrade for the app on Google Play.by Wazza - Handibot Forum
With the latest release of Vectric suites there comes the option of a laser module. In light of this, I would be interested to see ideas on attaching a laser to the Handibot. I don't think that the use of HDPE in the Handibot build would pose problems, as none of it is inside the cutting envelope. Cheers, Wazzaby Wazza - Handibot Forum
Thanks, Brian, But I will need to depart from the traditional blue and yellow HDPE as suppliers local to me in Australia will not cut these colours to size. They want to sell me a whole sheet of each, so black and white it shall be. Can't get 1/2" thickness either, but hopefully 12mm. If needs be I will go to 10mm. I will need to check if the file needs any modification! I will cut a pby Wazza - Handibot Forum

Performing bit changes in the kitchen would not work out for me. Do you have plans for a jig that would work elsewhere? Like the doghouse?by Wazza - Handibot Forum
Batteries have a finite shelf life. It may be that the ones you bought were old stock. Try another retailer who would possibly have a higher turnover of stock.by Wazza - Handibot Forum
Hi, rasbldrs, Go to the Vectric website, log on to V & Co, and you can download again from there. That site will have the info required that is specific to you. Regards, Wazzaby Wazza - Handibot Forum
Hello, rasbldrs, I only changed the tool number to an unused number and following that the Quick-Bit app worked I doubt that the Aspire upgrade had anything to do with it, as the changes noted in the release notes don't mention this problem.by Wazza - Handibot Forum
Today I had another play, trying to get my head around these issues. In the middle of all this, an upgrade for Aspire rocked up, so I ran that before doing anything else. Then I edited the SBP file that wouldn't run by changing from the form tool I was trying to use to a 1/8" EM. The file ran, no sweat! Upon inspecting the data for the form tool(I had installed this tool myself) I notby Wazza - Handibot Forum
I am still having troubles. These issues are surfacing slowly as I haven't been able to spend the time I would like on the Handibot. Today I created a simple file, just a profile cut on a 6" x 8" square. Firstly, the SBP file did not know that I was running my router from the "backup" relay, so I edited the file to fix that. It also did not zero the Z axis correctly. Thby Wazza - Handibot Forum
Brian, I just tried switching back to the original relay and disengaging the LEDs, but no dice. The router doesn't fire up. Regards, Wazzaby Wazza - Handibot Forum
Fixed!! Handibot is now ready to rock 'n' roll, but I haven't yet tried the Quick-Bit app, that's the next step. I doubt that switching the router control would affect the app, but you never know your luck in a big city! Will have at it tomorrow morning. Thanks, Brian, for all your help. Brian, Fabmo is configured correctly, and macro #6 is as you describe. Wazzaby Wazza - Handibot Forum
Re Quick-Bit, the lights are normal. Input 3 lights up when Handibot is on, input 5 lights up when I press on the pressure plate with my finger. the software I am running is the latest issue.by Wazza - Handibot Forum
Hi Brian, The file is continuing to run, it's just the router isn't being switched on. The router is OK, I have tested it away from the Handibot and it fires up as it should when 240VAC is applied. The clicks from the relays don't happen nor does that green light come on when the router is supposed to power on.by Wazza - Handibot Forum
I have not been able to spend time with my Handibot since about Christmas due to other more pressing matters, but now that I do have time free I find that I still can't use it. Much trouble was encountered when updating the Fabmo desktop software failed, eventually necessitating replacement of the Edison board. After doing that I ran the “Home” and “Park” routines and checked that it zerosby Wazza - Handibot Forum
Cannot work out how to mount the yellow pieces. I assume they are part of the clamp arrangement. As for the blue bits, I have no idea. No photo exists on the Handibot site that shows any of these, and they don't rate a mention in the paperwork.by Wazza - Handibot Forum
Thanks for that, Daniel. Up and running now. Regards, Wazzaby Wazza - Handibot Forum
Holidays over, back to upgrading to ELB. The original 4 wires to the stepper motor are colored blue, green, black, red. The new motor is wired green, brown, yellow, white. Which color goes where? Regards, Wazzaby Wazza - Handibot Forum
Back again, Brian, The ribbon cable on the new board is different to the old in that it does not have the micro USB connectors on it. I assume their function is attended by other means and they are no longer necessary. I tried mounting the board using the original cable but the USB connectors won't allow refitting of the dust cover. So back to fitting the new cable, fingers crossed. In theby Wazza - Handibot Forum
Hi Brian, The new Fabmo card arrived today, thank you very much for the prompt action. This new card has a WiFi antenna, are there any suggestions on where to stick the free end(be nice)? Also, I intend to delete Fabmo from my laptop and re-install. How do you recommend I do that as there are more than one upgrade files on your website. Merry Christmas to you and family, and all at Shopbot/Haby Wazza - Handibot Forum
Same same me. Looking at the underside of the ELB, it seems that it will be a fairly easy thing to do, essentially a box with an indexable floor. Having said that I would hate to spend time making it and not incorporating any clever ideas that others have come up with. Cheers, Wazzaby Wazza - Handibot Forum
I have recently taken delivery of my Extended Length Base, and wonder if anyone has designed an accessory base for it? It is a project I will embark upon but for now, it is on the back burner whilst I get on with other things.by Wazza - Handibot Forum
