Let's try that again. Not sure why they didn't work the first time.by CL - Handibot Forum
Hey all, I haven't been around for a while due to a wide variety of life things. One is that my grip strength has been iffy for quite some time, and I'd been pondering the issue for a while, and finally designed something to help with it. When needing to press the button and hold the Dewalt router to change bits, my hand often wasn't up to it. So this little thing lets me set thby CL - Handibot Forum
Those rollers will be fantastic to have. I have been trying to figure out something like that for myself. I've had a lot of health issues in the last year and I'm gradually building my strength back up, but I've also been having worse carpal tunnel symptoms. So I've not been able to use the handibot nearly as much as I'd planned, simply because I have to be at ideal condiby CL - Handibot Forum
Eric, what are the specs on the vacuum pump you're using? I've seen really conflicting information about what's necessary for a small vacuum plate.by CL - Handibot Forum
If we're within the year, do we need to contact Vectric for the upgrade or will it get pushed to us?by CL - Handibot Forum
I just had this issue in the last 10% of a run. I was in AP mode with my laptop about 18" from the handibot. Any word on when the Fabmo update will happen?by CL - Handibot Forum
Bluetooth HID access would be awesome, because that'd let people use the Adafruit board to create custom keypads (or it'd make for a really easily paired add-on if you made the pendant). At the bare minimum, I'd love to have: up/down/front/back/right/left. Having red/green button equivalents would be great, and in an ideal world, the "set xyz home", "move to home/by CL - Handibot Forum
Any suggestions on how to set up basically a pendant for the Handibot? I know I can connect with my phone, but I would love to have a way to move the router around (especially when manually zeroing a bit) without having to look at the screen each time. Having a tactile button would help too. I do occasionally click the "use keyboard" button, for my laptop, but that depends on having a sby CL - Handibot Forum
If the handibot can read .tap files (I haven't tried it yet), this is probably a viable option: The guy who made the software is on the main Shopbot forum. I need to make the angled jig before I can try the dovetails, but I plan to attempt the fingerjoint one soon.by CL - Handibot Forum
Ah, good to know! For this, we decided cutting as deep as possible was ok, since he wants it to burn as easily as possible. I will keep that in mind for future projects, thank you! This is the final result:by CL - Handibot Forum
I ran a relatively deep V-carve toolpath, and got a line near the top. I did 4 numbers (a friend requested a plank with 2016 in comic sans because both deserve to be burnt in effigy), and each had the line shown in the picture . I ran each number as a separate toolpath so I could shift the board each time. I had to abandon the first attempt due to a hold-down issue, and it happened there pre-issuby CL - Handibot Forum
I received mine yesterday and am having the same issue with the app. It wouldn't find the machine on AP mode or network.by CL - Handibot Forum
I'm certainly hoping to! I've got some hobby things I plan to do with it, but also some stuff I'd like to sell.by CL - Handibot Forum
Awesome, thank you! It's been eagerly anticipated for many months now, so I was really glad to make the order too! It also occurred to me that it'd be great to have the plans for the little stand/base thing that you use in some of your videos. If I recall correctly, that comes from the handibot's packaging, but it'd be nice to be able to make another one if that gets too baby CL - Handibot Forum
Brian, I know things are super busy over at handibot HQ, but I was wondering if posting the design for the handibot hand truck was still on the agenda. We spoke briefly about it when Ted brought me and some other people over during the September Shopbot training class. I've finally ordered my handibot, and I'm planning a trip to a local makerspace to cut out some big pieces that'by CL - Handibot Forum
