Hi All, I have a working Handibot Bridge edition conversion that I'm selling. I'm located in the DC metro area, and would strongly prefer local pickup. I have the original parts from the original Handibot as well (so you can convert back if need be). I also have the following additional parts: Laser Sight Auto Zero Plate Quick Tool Change Collar Additional Dewalt Router Upgradeby Daniel Block - Handibot Forum
No. I kind of gave up. I just have my PCBs made in china now.by Daniel Block - Handibot Forum
On the next Fabmo software update, can you also update the kernel to include a few more network drivers? I would imagine that would also solve the problem.by Daniel Block - Handibot Forum
I'm having a hell of time with this. I've tried like 4 different adapters, none of them work. I even ssh'd into the device to make sure. The are recognized by the kernel, but don't show up in ifconfig. Can someone provide a link to one on amazon that is currently for sale that actually works?by Daniel Block - Handibot Forum

You wouldn't happen to have a G2 setup script that configures all of the sensors, and limits for the handibot? I've been messing around tonight with using Chillipeppr to connect directly to the G2 controller, as a temporary solution. It works, but the configuration parameters on the Github repository under g2.json seem to be relatively minimal as to what you really need. For exampleby Daniel Block - Handibot Forum
Ok. That makes sense. One other question. If I unplugged the USB from the edison, would that give me raw access to the TinyG2 motion controller? In other words, in the mean time, could I use the Handibot with Chilipeppr if I directly plugged into the USB?by Daniel Block - Handibot Forum
Ok. I'm turning back to this, as I'm getting ready to mill my PCB. Am I correct that Fabmo uses TinyG for G-code interpretatio?. If so, which version? It would seem that I may need version 435.10 or higher. From the documentation, it appears TinyG supports a cmd called G38.2, which is tied to the Z Min Switch in TinyG. I looked into autoleveller. I think all it does is create a 3/8 inch grid of touch points. Then I think it just uses bilinear interpolation to figure out each point.by Daniel Block - Handibot Forum
What does Handibot do in response to the Gcode command "G31"? That seems to be a pretty important one for probing. If handibot supports g31, I'm wondering if the autoleveler code would just work out of the box since handibot supports gcode natively? Also can the handibot support gcode file writes?by Daniel Block - Handibot Forum
I'm interested in this too. I do know the quick bit app is not what you need. I think you would need to use the already existing probing that comes standard with the Handibot. At a high level, I think what you need to do is attach the clip to the bit as you normally would. Then run an alligator clip from the metal piece to the PCB board. I'm just not sure how that would interactby Daniel Block - Handibot Forum
I tried plugging in to the ethernet on the Board, and I got nothing. Is there are driver I need to install? I also understand I can plug in a USB ethernet device, but can I also plug directly into the ethernet jack that is currently on the board?by Daniel Block - Handibot Forum
Just an FYI. I doubt my problems were network related. It was freezing mid-job. I also didn't have mine connected to a network at the time (all adhoc). I've also since modified my handibot with an external antenna too. It works, but it still is not perfect.by Daniel Block - Handibot Forum
Yes. This was one of them. I can't remember if I tried it again on 1.4.2 or not, I'm guessing it would worked--since it worked before. If there was a way I could salvage a job after it freezes, i'd be willing to switch back to 1.6.1. But I can't think of any fool proof way. Maybe if there was a way to manually enter the current position of a bit. That way, I could just wriby Daniel Block - Handibot Forum
I had to revert to 1.4.2. The new version is simply too unstable. I had numerous jobs first switch to "waiting for fabmo," then just stop in the middle. I also had jobs showing a timer starting at 13000 minutes+. Those are usually the ones that failed. The quickbit app was also just randomly freezing. I just don't think this is ready for the prime time. It's esby Daniel Block - Handibot Forum

Just want to say I did this with a Handibot Adventure Edition. Works great. Used a hot air rework station, but I think you could probably just snap off the resistor with a needle nose if you really wanted to.by Daniel Block - Handibot Forum
Brian, What's the part number on the vacuum tubing? Thanks, Danby Daniel Block - Handibot Forum
Wazza, I just used the 3 screws from the old backlash on the original base. I think any of the motor mount screws work too.by Daniel Block - Handibot Forum
Brian, Do you have the part number on the motor connector plug going into the control unit? I'm trying to make it easier to switch back and forth. Also, what's the part number on the screws you use for the T-track (and else where on the handibot). I'd like to have a few more hand I've also been thinking about ways to make the switching back and forth go easier. I migby Daniel Block - Handibot Forum

So bare with my crappy paint drawing (I'm at work), but couldn't you do something like this: That might avoid the clearance issue. I wonder what it would do to suction though. It also might be noisy as hell. -Danby Daniel Block - Handibot Forum
For now, I've milled out a little extender out of MDF. I just took the original dust shoe design (clipped off the part where the vacuum tube screws in) and cut it out of MDF. So the vacuum still screws into the plastic. Since I only 1/2 MDF laying around, I made 3 of them and screwed them together. It works ok, but not great. I'm not exactly sure why though. I think there is less dust bby Daniel Block - Handibot Forum
Ok. I started to use the upgraded version. The biggest issue I see is dust collection. The router needs to sit lower than it did in the original base, and now the dust collector doesn't reach the end of the router. Any thoughts on this? I'm thinking one just needs to re-engineer the dust collection holder, and basically make it 2 inches higher. Any other thoughts? Brian have you dreamedby Daniel Block - Handibot Forum
Brian, It's not a big deal. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't bad. It doesn't really bother me.by Daniel Block - Handibot Forum

Awesome thank you. Also, regarding the cut of the hood, I will just say I did it, it worked perfectly. Just make sure you've aligned the hood straight and that it is on the bend, and you should be good to go.by Daniel Block - Handibot Forum
Thanks for this. One other question. Do you have any models or base dimensions for the large cutting tool like you do for the original? That would be super helpful in making some jigs. I could measure myself, but if you have the dimensions that is easier. Basically I want to make something with some grooves for the clamps, so that I can easily do repeatable tiling without having to use the markinby Daniel Block - Handibot Forum
