Fabmo no longer can find my HandiBot and the address I had used to connect no longer works? Does anyone out there know what I can do? Is there anyone out there anymore?by Steveibe - Handibot Forum
Does anyone out there with more knowledge than I know if it is feasible to use components from a HandiBot to build a table CNC or would it make more sense to start over with new parts? Thanks, Steveby Steveibe - Handibot Forum
I thought I read when HandiBot threw in the towel that some parts would still be available, the HandiBot Store is now a dead link. Does anyone know where I can purchase blocks? The number on them is SME15SBSSFC. I've searched online but can't find anything that matches that number. Thanks, I hope!, Steveby Steveibe - Handibot Forum
I inadvertently deleted the Fireup app on my Handibot. The Handibot docs link no longer works? If someone could tell me where I might find what I need please share. Thanks, Steveby Steveibe - Handibot Forum
After factory reset my Handibot (adventure edition) with V1.7.2 looses it's z setting between tiles, It also asks "manual tool Change, Quit, Resume" EVERY time I start a tile. The wifi seems faster to respond but on start up the green LEDs never stop flashing? It says there are no new updates. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Steveby Steveibe - Handibot Forum
Here we go again!!! 3 plus hours into a12 tile job and another project ruined! Is Handibot or Fabmo ever going to address and fix things.by Steveibe - Handibot Forum
The motion test did the trick! Y motion was hanging up and banging stops at higher speeds. Motor/shaft and nut realignment fixed it, thanks Brian! A Fabmo suggestion box would be nice, I could think of a couple of other things to add.by Steveibe - Handibot Forum
It's losing position, Z never seems to change, I'm certain there is nothing obstructing movement. Other times It will just freeze and all you can do is power cycle it. Occasionally it will finish a tile and restart the tile without turning on the router but I can cancel it and move to next tile.by Steveibe - Handibot Forum
I use my Handibot primarily for carving wine barrel lids which I then paint, separate, balance pieces then string into wind chimes. (see attached) I made a jig with a carriage that allows 4 X movements which fits into the overall jig allowing 3 Y moves. So I don't have to slide the bot back and forth more than I have to I run tile 1-4 then move carriage up and run tiles 8- 5, move up againby Steveibe - Handibot Forum
Thanks Brian, I also was unaware of the available update when posting my question yesterday. It looked to me like a number of people were having problems updating so I have not yet attempted it.by Steveibe - Handibot Forum
Most the jobs I run are 12 tiles used with a 24x24 inch jig I made. Sometimes, oops, I want to abort the whole job. Is there a way to select multiple jobs to delete, it is time-consuming selecting individual tiles(jobs) with the lag time between each action. It would be nice if there were a trash bin I could drag the files into. Thanks in advance, Steveby Steveibe - Handibot Forum
Thankyou Handibot team for a quick diagnosis and overnighting me a new power supply, we are up and running again! Steveby Steveibe - Handibot Forum
I was cutting a simple test job today on some MDF and my bot quit in the middle of the job. I turned the power off, waited for a bit but when I turn it back on after a second or so all that happens is one short simultaneous flash of a number of lights on the control card as well as the interface board. I blew any dust out of the enclosure and reseated the control card and ribbon connections, noby Steveibe - Handibot Forum
Thanks for everyone's input. Bill hit the nail on the head, no 2 barrel staves are exactly the same and even if I could I don't think I'd want to probe each one. I'm trying to make something to sell for 20 bucks or less. I'd rather not have to change bits even. I have been playing with small 3d models, grapes and other things using a 1/16th ball nose then using a single lby Steveibe - Handibot Forum
Thanks Mark, to answer your question "how good are you in Fusion 360", I am NO good! I did spend some time trying to figure it out but eventually gave up! I stumbled onto a free program called g-code Ripper that looks like just what I need but I don't know if it is compatible with the HandiBot or Fabmo. Below is a cool short video of it plotting the surface of pumpkin, then carvinby Steveibe - Handibot Forum
I am trying to create a simple convex model, more specifically i'm wanting to make a model of the outside shape of a 8-inch length of a wine barrel stave so I can Vcare text on it using the 'project on 3d model' feature in VCarve pro. I think it is doable but is way above my skill level. If any experts out there can clue me in it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you, Steve (sby Steveibe - Handibot Forum
Thanks Brian After updating everything seems to be working fine now, I was on version 1.4.2 I had tried updating before posting here but got an immediate message saying that my software was up-to-date. When I tried again Friday Fabmo connected and after a while stated there was no newer software, I logged off and back on again and like magic, I had version 1.5.1! I have been losing my Fabmo connection on and off for a while now. It hasn't caused any major issues yet besides being very annoying resetting XYZ and zero over and over. Also, there are times when I first try to connect it takes several attempts, me power cycling Handibot and closing and reopening browser. Today repeatedly when setting XYZ, on the last forward bump it would freeze up with sby Steveibe - Handibot Forum
I am wondering if Eric or anyone has modified the "Handibot cut whole directory" script to work with Fabmo and V2? I am a new Handibot user and doing a lot of tiled jobs, it sure would speed up the process! Eric was nice enough last week to promptly tweak his automated jig rail script to work with the new Handibot and hinted to me that editing code was easy. I hope eventually to be aby Steveibe - Handibot Forum
I am in San Luis Obispo County. I would love to see HandiBot in real life action while I wait for mine to arrive instead of the many videos I've watched! Steveby Steveibe - Handibot Forum
