You probably don't want to use the G38.2 g-code for this, just because of the way things are managed internally in fabmo. The motion system uses G2, which is the next generation of tinyg, which is maintained here: We use the tip of the dtmax-release branch currently on handibots. You absolutely can get the result of the probing operations in opensbp through the API, and you could makeby Ryan Sturmer - Handibot Forum
We do have an autolevel feature that is internal to the FabMo, it is not fully functional yet, so we have not brought it online, but hope to do so soon. To answer your question, yes, FabMo does support probing internally. I am one of those developers that prefers g-code, but in this particular instance, you may have more luck with the OpenSBP commands for probing. They are PX,PY,PZ,P2,P3by Ryan Sturmer - Handibot Forum
Joe, There currently isn't a way to restore the backup. It sounds silly, but the backup is sort of a beta feature. It's exposed in the case that we want to have a customer send in their configuration for diagnostic purposes, but can't be restored in the backup/restore sense - there will be some improvement to configuration management in the upcoming 1.7.0 releaseby Ryan Sturmer - Handibot Forum
Steve! I have to aplogize for not seeing above that you're actually doing your windows stuff in a virtualizer, and not on a hardware windows machine. I am a huge advocate for using VMWare etc. for things like VCarve Pro, etc. But in this one particular instance, due to the way USB devices are enumerated when they are connected/disconnected, it's virtually (hah!) guaranteed not to workby Ryan Sturmer - Handibot Forum
Steve, Sorry for the delay in responding. I would sooner have had you reflash on a mac, but since you're this far along on windows, let's keep on this route. Can you tell me this - and this is going to sound silly - How long is the cable you are using to reflash your board? The error 74 you're getting is indicative of a bad transfer, which may be resolved by a shorter (orby Ryan Sturmer - Handibot Forum
Miguel, /cgi-bin/luci is not a URL that is associated with fabmo in any way - what browser are you using, and do you have any extensions installed that might be requesting this resource? It looks like this might be part of a software add-in for dd-wrt. Are you sure that your DHCP is working properly, and not mistakenly assigned 10.102 to more than one client on your network? -Rby Ryan Sturmer - Handibot Forum
Seconded, thank you for the detailed information. I'd like to get a little more info so we can help with your problem. The fact that the ethernet connection doesn't work is suspicious - we typically find that to be extremely reliable, and the device *should* be able to update itself on this connection - it is in fact the most reliable way to do so, so this is as good a place as any toby Ryan Sturmer - Handibot Forum
Wazza, This forum shortens the text of links - note that the link i posted is different than the address you posted a screenshot of. There's a :81 at the end of my link: http:/192.168.42.1:81/ (The forum shortened the text of the link before - I have made an effort to have it display this time.by Ryan Sturmer - Handibot Forum
We're having a little bit of difficulty with our build server at the moment - it should be back up later today, with the 1.6.1 fmp corrected on GH. Sorry for the inconvenience!by Ryan Sturmer - Handibot Forum
Wazza, Can you post a screenshot of what you see when you visit [192.168.42.1] - There should be a report of your tool versions there that we can use to determine the next step. -Rby Ryan Sturmer - Handibot Forum
The PDF above has a link to the 1.6.0 consolidated update - if you download it and follow the instructions, things should start working again. If after the update, you're still getting garbage, can you take a screenshot and post here? We can figure out what's going on and get you right again.by Ryan Sturmer - Handibot Forum
David, The "error" in the above log is not the heart of your issue, but I'm glad you got it resolved. There is a factory reset procedure that you can perform, instead of a reflash, that will allow you to restore the state of your tool without reflashing over the USB. I will detail that in a separate post. I know you are up and running again, but if I may ask, did you condby Ryan Sturmer - Handibot Forum
We are looking into this, and have a candidate fix in the works. This issue has unfortunately been entangled with a number of other issues that we've had to resolve all at once, and so the update has taken longer to put together than we had initially hoped. We've got the release candidate installed on our machines here, and once we're confident that things are working well, weby Ryan Sturmer - Handibot Forum
