Ted, I don't know if you are wanting suggestions here or not but here goes, and of course I will copy paste to where you want them if not here. The router holder needs reworked with the following adds: Laser cursor/cross hairs and quick release. To the best of my knowledge Eric is the first to do both of these but they really need to be on production units. The laser is not something Iby Mark Evans - Handibot App Developers Forum
That is great. I just failed to find it looking through the commands. That pretty well guarantees that if I build a gantry machine it will have Handibot guts as well as other parts. Just a question for the future as I am in full user/learner mode now not developer mode. Is there a way to calibrate how far the axis move to so many pulses? This way when I build the bighandi or what ever and it uses a slightly different drive setup it can still work right? Hidden in the ini file perhaps?by Mark Evans - Handibot App Developers Forum
For foam, and balsa there is a plethora of kits and plans out there. Can't tell you a lot of specifics as I've passed them by as unsuitable for me. You could buy a handibot and use it to build the smaller one. Most plans call for laser cut parts but most of those could be cut cnc with minimal redesign.by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
Great start, look fwd to seeing it further filled in. I don't see any router speeds, are you running wide open all the time?by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
Perhaps this is what you are looking for, for mini me? mac Os only for now, that is what killed it for me. Glad it did as I am SO happy with the handibot that will do everything this will and a lot more, just not so suited for the kitchen or LR. You could incase the above and have little or no dust problems.by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
Important edit: Make sure the pointer tab is all the way down in the base because if it works it's way up it will interfere with the Y axis.by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum

Michael, If no one pipes up close, check out youtube, most of what is there is promotional but still educational.by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
Several people have come on the forum asking if there is anyone in there area with a handibot that could demo it for them. Would it be possible to get a pined thread of those that are willing and where we are located? webmaster?by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
Yes, I hope they do a run early this week as getting these into peoples hands is one key to getting people using the handi and growing the community! It is a great little jig, make sure you see my instructable after you get yours. I hope they will run a couple of sheets of just the first stick at some point as well. You can may your own and I have but I always suspect the accuracy somewhat ofby Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
Chad, At this moment looks like there are some still in Stock, just says getting low.by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
Michael, One question you have to ask yourself, is this your only use-case? If it is then maybe 0,0 has a point, I just can't see the handi tearing through 6x, I love it I am probably it's biggest fan and I know if you had one you'd find lots of use for it but I am thinking for big timber it would do you well to make jigs or cut the first 1/4 inch and then you could come in with aby Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
Just published this instructable on use of the jig, let me know what you think. thanxby Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
I lifted these off of Bill as well when I was doing my pass-through table, I like them with a .5 hole and then I insert these plastic inserts.by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
I am sure this will come in handy sometime soon, thanx.by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
double ought speaks truth, also I forgot to mention, I have seen people come up with ways to do variations of tongue and grove that don't involve flipping. Another way to handle it would be to make an 'on end' jig, then there would be no flipping involved.by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
Okay guys, I got the jig and got it installed. It went like clockwork. Much easier than I had anticipated. As soon as I got it installed I HAD to try a cut with it so I grabbed the file for the lumber jig front, loaded it and went to cutting. I learned three things with that 4 panel cut. 1) The jig is much faster and more accurate than I ever got with my own pass-through jig. 2) Iby Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
Eric and several others have ask about several of my projects so here is my drop-box folder for everything. It is all quite basic but I hope someone just starting up will find something inspiring. I have tried to add photos where I can and short notes. I think the link works but it is hard to tell when I am the owner.... Let me know if you have trouble or questions.by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
Yes, sometimes the solution is so easy that it eludes me, a cut file for each bit will work like a champ. Thanxby Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
Does anyone know if there is a way to force Vcarve to run through the tiles with one tool and then come back around with another instead of running each tool for a tile and then moving to the next? thanxby Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
Michael, Welcome to the forum, you ask some good questions. I'll answer to the best of my knowledge below. Thanks for the input Richard, can you please tell me what you really get when you go pro with Sketchup?by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
Should, they always promise, question is when. I'm going to want to put the v notched x axis guides everywhere. gclayton Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Will the specs for all the items in the kit be > posted on GitHub?by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
When Vcarve Pro came out with 7.5 I had no idea why Eric was so excited about the Sketchup important feature. Since then I've been teaching myself Sketchup. It has been hard for me as it is a major paradigm shift for me but it is worth it! For things that will be from multiple parts this is my work flow now. 1) concept in my head. 2)draw it in Sketchup 2.1)this is where bad ideas dby Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
I have yet to cut any aluminum but I can tell you that about 90% of what is discussed on the ShopBot forum translates to the handibot. Feeds and speeds are the same no matter what the platform is. There is a 1/8 single flute that has the 1/4 shank, if you want to go really small you'll need a after market collet. You need to get one and become an expert at aluminum so I'll have a goby Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
Yes the vetric tutorials are great you will get the latest version of Vcarve PRO, 7.5.? I hope to do some instuctables when I am sure I have this down. Depending on how you plan to use it I strongly recommend that you learn sketchup as well.by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
Thanks for the reply, anything impressive that it will do with 3 axis that Vcarve Pro won't?by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
So the wife was wanting a stand to bring a vase up of the floor a good bit and I had put just the thing into pintrest. Well I get busy trying to draw this thing in Vcarve Pro and am having the hardiest time. The photo I had was the typical ortho and I wandered if there was something that would depict this flat. A little clicking later I had found a photo of it dissembled and flat. I took theby Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
