Mine came dead on but I ALWAYS appreciate knowing how to correct something before it bites me at 8pm on a sat. night.by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
I can't tell you which variable is out as I am just not that familiar with fabmo yet but I have something that is a 90% chance of curing your problem. From fabmo chose the updater and reload/flash your SBC. I had a different bad load and this fixed me right up. And yes, the touch plate is awesome when it is working right, I love it.by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
I take it you are running a 1.x? Sounds like the profile file got messed up. Go to full mode if that is not the way you already run and check your speeds under the Values menu. (VS) If they have gotten bumped down, set them as appropriate and then save the profile in case it ever happens again. (US) Profiles are a good idea anyway in case you change something and now things are not working rightby Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
I love Fusion 360 for design work but so far I have always gone to Vcarve or DeskProto for tool pathing. If you get tool paths down in Fusion please share. On the other hand, it might be worth your $$ to buy the universal version of Vcarve or even Aspire ($$$$). A lot would just depend on what you do and all. Brian, I really appreciate the way you, Ted, and all of Shopbot/handibot will go to no end to get things right. I am sure that as the software/firmware gets tweaked 2.0 will become everything the handibot was originally envisioned to be. I know getting the Kickstarter has over the last couple of years made me into a full blown maker. I added a 3d printer last fall and will add a laser cutterby Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
This forum hates attachments for some reason. You can link to dropbox and it will come through okay. Okay, all. I've had my 2.0 for a couple of weeks now so I thought I'd share. As most of you know, I was a very early adopter on the handibot having purchased the original Kickstarter version. The hardware is all but flawless, and there will be a lot less time spent keeping this aligned and running than 1.X, very stiff and robust. One of the things that makes the handibot (and shopbot tools in general) is their relationship with Vectric and all the greatness of Vcarve. 8.5 is out and the shopbot edition should be out soon. Also, should be free to anyone with 8.0 or above.by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
Is there a provision for copying macros to and from fabmo? I'd like to use the bigger screen of my desktop if I can. Thanxby Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
I'm teething on my 2.0 right now so I'll answer. Yes, everything is on sbc except for the cut files and even those seem to get cached. I have not tried a lot of devices but it looks like anything with a complaint browser will run it.by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
I just type a long reply but by the time I finished I'd been logged out! I have DeskProto files ready to cut if we can just get the acc. channel working and interpreting correctly. Doesn't matter if the DRO is reading in inches, I could write down some equivalences. I know these are X.0 problems with sb4.000000betabetabeta but I'd give $100 right now to have a usb portby Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
Make sure you list it over at the main Shopbot site as well as my G+ group. I have seen recent activity at both of those.by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
Brian or anyone that has 2.0 and the indexer,,, HELP! I have no idea how to enable it in sb4/fabmo. Is there a way to load my sb3 profile or do we have to hand jam it again? If there is not profile support we REALLY need that as it is a big thing for making temporary changes and then reverting back to a known good setup. Thanx to anyone that can help Mby Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
I'm all out of ideas, even I have to call the shop sometimes....by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
Robin, my opinion is that it never hurts to try different speeds to understand the problem better but anytime you have trouble air cutting you have something that needs to be rectified.by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
You are 100% correct that you do not have to run left to right or bottom to top. That said, the errors don't tend to be cumulative so I have found no accuracy advantage to going out of order. It is totally fine to go in any order you want if you find other advantages though. I have done a few large projects that just didn't have any cuts in some tiles so I would make a map and skip thosby Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
Brian : The photos won't work for me either but I know exactly what David is talking about. It is holding so far for me but I've never thought that this particular bit was your (handibot) best work. As soon as my 2.0 arrives I have major and hopefully continuing project for the fifth axis so I'd like the update as well if you don't mind.by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
Well I'm a little disappointed but you have given me hope for further announcements. Early congrats on twenty!by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
I think you are more mechanical than you make out, you've made it this far... If you really aren't, maybe you can get a mechanical spouse or freind to help. If it was not for distance I'd swing by and take a look in exchange for a look at what your doing /done.by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
☺ you could but then no one else who has the same problem would be able to find the answers. And besides, sometimes I'm wrong and staff can interject when they stop by. I hope you get it worked out and have something nice to share. Vogt886 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Thanks 'again' Mark. And if so, what new and exciting things got introduced?by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
Sounds like the machines out of alignment, there's a procedure for doing the alignment on the main website under support. If this doesn't fix it either your linear bearings are binding or your backlash is binding. You can determine which by disconnecting the drive and seeing if it's slides easily, if it does slide easily then it's your backlash, you need to clean and Lube yourby Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
Robin, your fix for this is a new profile. Save your current profile as default and then go into settings and add whatever offset you need. Now save this profile as your project name. When you're done with the project you can reload default and return to factory settings.by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
Brian, all that is visible in the PDF is a blue i. When you fix that I'd love to see the whole work flow as well. Thanxby Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
Sorry, I don't know anything about Fabmo as I am waiting on my 2.0 to arrive. (longest three weeks in quite some time) Assuming Fabmo is setup much like the legacy control software, it is real easy to not have any tool paths checked and think you do in Vcarve pro. Vcarve's workflow can be tricky and is the problem more often than not at least with the legacy unit. If you don'by Mark Evans - Handibot Forum
Mike, as always, I can not speak for the company but poke around the other side of the forum. I do believe that due to a larger form factor there will be no simple card swap.by Mark Evans - Handibot App Developers Forum

Impressive, now I want 2.0 more than ever. I have done aluminum with the kickstarter unit but I had to take about .01 passes. 1/4 with 4 passes would be sweet.
